Zac: R.I.P

The dog who i first met in the backyard of a joondalup house, barking madly, viscious looking even, but only for the moment until i opened the gate and at once felt his loving, warm and friendly embrace. His name was, is, Zac.

He's the dog that felt i was the stranger as much as i felt he was, in my new family, but we quickly accepted eachother, and i quickly fell in love with the new addition to my family, my home and my life. I can only hope that he felt the same about me.

It was a short time, about 2-3 years that i knew Zac, but those years were full of fun memories, and good times, sometimes frustrating like the barking or getting in the way, but any barking or any standing in my path wouldnt ever get in the way of our indifferent affection for eachother.

It's definately a sad loss to me and to my mum and to my two sisters who loved Zac. But to Mums Boyfriend, Mark, Zac's loss is greater than i can even begin to imagine. Zac was more than a pet to mark. Since Mark got Zac as a puppy, he has treated Zac with every bit of love, every bit of respect and consideration than he does to my mum, myself and every other human who's lucky enough to have met Mark, he treated Zac as his own. The last thing Mark was to Zac was his owner. Mark was his Father, his friend, his brother, his companion, his family, he was Zacs everything, and Zac meant everything to Mark. The dog he had watched grow, helped grow and loved for years and years. So its Mark who i ask people to consider in this time.

It pains me to deliver this tragic news. But i have lost a friend and loved family member.

Zac, i love you, as did everyone else. Sorry for the bad times, 'no worries' for the good times and thankyou for everything. Thankyou for all the memories, love and happiniess you brought me and my family. I'll miss the nights you and I spent outside together and hope that the little time i had with you meant as much to you as it did to me. I'll never forget you. Goodbye.

R.I.P ZAC
